Beth Sanders graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with a BA and MEd in special education with teaching certifications in learning disabilities, mental handicaps, and emotional and behavioral handicaps. She taught four years in an Orton Gillingham program at the Hill Learning Development Center in Durham which was the prototype for Carolina Day's Key Learning Center. Beth also taught and consulted in public school exceptional children's programs for mentally, physically, and emotionally handicapped. She taught in a T.E.A.C.C.H. classroom for autistic adolescents and worked at Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill providing school services to families with chronically ill patients. With the birth of her first
child, Beth became a stay at home mom and began homeschooling in 1992.
Her oldest two sons are merit scholars at UNC Chapel Hill and Clemson.
She has a son and daughter still homeschooling high school. Beth sees
the beauty of homeschooling as a schooling option that molds the
program to the child instead of the child to the program. Beth enjoys
helping parents determine ways to shape their educational program to
the individual, compensating for weaknesses and capitalizing on
strengths. Beth enjoys sharing ideas on teaching techniques, curriculum
design, and the college preparation and application process. To schedule a test with Beth Sanders click here. Please contact her at: beth.ravenrockranch@gmail.com828-768-2499 |
