Tiffany and her husband Freddy live in Hendersonville, NC with her two homeschooled children. Tiffany and her family love to travel, hike, spent time outdoors, read and do all sorts of arts and crafts.
Tiffany graduated from Liberty University with a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling and expects to have her LPC-A license by February 2020. While in graduate school, Tiffany worked as an intern for the local hospice, offering bereavement counseling and specializing in grief, trauma, and crisis.
Tiffany obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Lees McRae in Banner Elk, NC, and an Associate’s degree in Human Services from AB-Tech in Asheville, NC. She is originally from West Virginia but has lived in the mountains of NC since 1998 where she was an assistant teacher for the public schools and assisted her grandmother in operating a children’s home. Tiffany has also volunteered at and aided children’s homes in South Carolina, North Carolina, India, and Mexico.
Before entering graduate school, Tiffany worked for the State of NC, assisting individuals with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities with their job-related goals. Because of this, Tiffany has 10+ years’ experience working with individuals with varying degrees of disability or special needs and understands that people learn in different ways. Tiffany has experience in understanding how different people learn and finding ways to help them learn according to their individual learning style.
Tiffany is a Sunday School teacher and a member of a local homeschooling co-op where she provides science projects, arts and crafts opportunities to other children.
Service Areas: Tiffany is very excited to be a part of the SMART team and hopes to be able to offer information, guidance, and support to homeschooling families in the Henderson, Buncombe, Rutherford, Polk, Transylvania and surrounding western North Carolina and upstate South Carolina areas.
