2023 - 2024 ski season

 Riderschoice is a Homeschool Ski and Snowboard Club / Group offering Homeschool Ski and Snowboard Discounts at Beech Mountain Ski Resort in the Mountains of Western North Carolina

 

Please check the Beech Mountain website (https://www.beechmountainresort.com)  for dates the ski resort is open and slope conditions. All available homeschool dates for the Riderschoice Group are listed below.

 

Bring your homeschool family to Beech Mountain Ski Resort during the 2023 - 2024 ski season any Mon. - Fri. non-holiday time and receive the wonderful homeschool discount!  Make sure you register with Riderschoice at least three days in advance by completing the form below for EACH ski/snowboard participant for EACH ski date. Glenna Toney, the Riderschoice volunteer Coordinator, will make sure your reservation is processed with Beech Mountain. 

 

New for this season! All Friday ski dates will have a cap for a maximum of 100 for the Riderschoice Group! So, if you plan to ski / board on a Friday, please put your reservation in well in advance to make sure there is room for your family.

Tickets and rentals can only be picked up for the current day that you are registered for.

Lift tickets are good for 8 hours, or until closing. Lift tickets must be picked up in group sales by 12:00 pm (noon) to receive the Riderschoice Group discount.

 

$45 per skier/snowboarder which includes, lift ticket and equipment rental. 

 

$20 per skier / snowboarder for beginner group lesson (optional) / Must be 8 years old or older (NO exceptions!). Please plan to give a cash tip the instructor.

 

$30 per skier/snowboarder who has their own equipment.

 

 

Beech Mountain Ski Resort has gone paperless, so each person who needs a ski or board rental will need to complete the rental form once you arrive at Group Sales.  

Please don’t make any payments for rentals or anything else in advance on the Beech Mountain Resort Website if you want to receive the Riderschoice discount.

 

 

 

Rentals are on a first come first serve basis. So I would recommend arriving at 8:00 AM on your ski date. Fridays are expected to be especially busy! New for this season! All Friday ski dates will have a cap for a maximum of 100 for the Riderschoice Group! So, if you plan to ski / board on a Friday, please complete your reservation forms well in advance to make sure there is room for your family.

 Families can still ski / snowboard even if Beech Mnt. Ski Resort runs out of rentals, they will just need to rent skis or snowboards elsewhere and then pay the $30 price for the lift ticket.  

 

How to get your family registered to join the Riderschoice discount homeschool ski and snowboard group at Beech Mountain Ski Resort. 

 

Please follow these few steps…

 

1. Look at the available discount ski dates listed on this page for the Riderschoice Group, register your family at least 3 days in advance of the ski date by 8:00 pm so we can get the looong list of names to Beech Mtn by THEIR deadline.  If your registrations are late, you will not be able to join the RidersChoice Group. FOR EXAMPLE: If you want the discount for a Friday, and you attempt to register on Thursday - that is ONE day in advance, a Wednesday registration would be TWO days in advance, a Tuesday registration would allow you to participate in the Riderschoice discount on Friday, or any later date.

 

2. Register each person in your group individually on the Riderschoice registration form for everyone who is going to ski or snowboard, for EACH day. So, if there are 6 people in your family, then you will have to complete the Riderschoice online registration form 6 times!  Once for each person who will be skiing or snowboarding, for EACH day.

 

3. Once the Riderschoice forms are submitted, check your email for a conformation email. 

 

4. If you need rentals, you will need to fill out the rental form at the resort kiosk located inside the rental shop.

 

5. Show up at Group Sales between 8 am - 12:00 pm only on the day of your registration, not in advance of another day, to check in with the Riderschoice Group and pay.  Please send only one person in your individual group to the desk to pay. 

 

6. Read all of the Riderschoice Group rules on this page and follow them.  This is very important to everyone in our group. 

 

7.  Email Beech Mountain Group Sales ASAP (groups@skibeech.com) if you are not going to be able to show up on the date that you are registered. 

 

8. Have fun!  Be sure to thank Beech Mountain Group Sales for making this great discount opportunity available to the Riderschoice Group and the homeschool community.

Beech Mountain Group Sales Office and Beech Mountain Ski Resort often experiences a high volume of skiers and boarders.  Some areas are congested (group sales office, rental areas, and cafeteria). Beech Mountain Resort is doing everything possible to maintain a safe environment. 

 

Please be patient and follow all of the rules and policies. 

 

If you are nervous or highly concerned about congested areas, please stay home and join us again on another day when the crowds are smaller. 

 

RIDERSCHOICE PARTICIPANTS SHOULD CONTACT GLENNA TONEY REGARDING ISSUES WITH OUR GROUP AND NOT COMPLAIN TO GROUP SALES!

Scheduled Ski Dates for Beech:

(weather permitting) Mon. - Fri. non-holidays, you must register 3 days in advance by 8 PM

 

Please note that you will not be able to just show up at Beech and be part of the Riderschoice group deal! Glenna Toney is coordinating at Beech and Riderschoice dates are posted. Advanced registration is required.

 

Make plans with your family. This rate is only open to homeschoolers (including parents), their families (Including grown children). Bring proof of homeschooling and present it to Beech Mountain Group Sales upon check-in.

 

 If you register for a ski/board date, Riderschoice and Beech Mnt. are expecting you to show up. If for some reason anyone in your group/family can't make the date you sign up for, please email Group Sales ASAP groups@skibeech.com Our discount rate depends on the number of participants! So be sure to keep Group Sales up-to-date on any changes in your group/family numbers.

 

All skiers/boarders need to arrive at Beech Mountain Group Sales between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm only on the day of your reservation. PLEASE, get your money together and have ONE person in your family, carload or group bring your money to Group Sales to facilitate getting your lift tickets and rental forms in a timely manner.
