Mandy is very thorough, patient, and kind with my child. She explains things in a way my child can understand. She is very thorough with the data feedback, both verbally and written. I love the way SMART Testing breaks down everything for my homeschooler and for myself.

The Woodcock-Johnson Test was recommended by my classical conversations group, and it was invaluable in understanding my daughters’ learning differences. I also needed it to report testing to the state. In addition, I’ve used it for IEP formation. Wow!!! Mandy was so amazing!! She took time to get to know a bit about my kids and our family before testing, made the kids feel comfortable, and went above and beyond to give them a relaxed and consistent testing experience. I enjoy working with Mandy. I feel like my daughter is getting comfortable with doing the testing. She doesn’t seem to be annoyed or frustrated with the process. It also gives me a clear vision of where my daughter is currently performing in her education and I can adjust accordingly. I can clearly see her weaknesses and improvements. Mandy communicated with me in a timely manner, we quickly set a date. She instructed me to register and that I will be sent a link at a later time to pay my fee. The day before she sent me a text reminding me of my upcoming test, which was very appreciative and unexpected. Mandy explained to us that we could stay during testing, she gave us an estimated time of when she would be finished. My husband and I decided to leave. I love the fact that she understood the importance of being safe, because she explained to us that she will be locking the door. That made me feel very comfortable. In these times we have to have situational awareness. She really took the time to explain everything in simple terms. I didn’t feel rushed when I asked questions. She was very engaged and passionate. She explained to us the next steps in moving forward with my daughter. My daughter is apprehensive at times when it comes to people and situations. However, with Mandy I have noticed that my daughter is at ease and comfortable with her, she is not hesitant when having to test. My daughter embraces the experience.

I chose SMART to administer the testing because they were one of the few places that actually responded promptly to my request and inquiry. I found it very helpful, and I'm thankful to have found you guys. Mandy was very thorough and very pleasant to work with. My son really enjoyed the testing and felt very comfortable with Mandy. That was very impressive compared to previous experiences. My son felt very comfortable with Mandy. She was patient and explained things clearly. She took the time to sit down and explain everything thoroughly to me. It didn't feel like I was just getting a 'box checked" but instead got an actual assessment of my son's education and how well I'm doing as a teacher. It was great feedback that will most certainly be quite helpful in furthering my son's education. I really enjoyed the whole process. It wasn't uncomfortable at all. I felt good about it afterwards, and I will most certainly recommend anyone to use you guys. Especially Mandy! She was great!

My daughter is homeschooling for the first time. I have appreciated the help and information provided by her teachers. It was also great that her teacher, Mandy, is the licensed tester with S.M.A.R.T. She was very helpful with communication, understanding and setting a time. I needed my child tested to meet the NC requirements for homeschoolers. When I stopped by the table at the Homeschool Connections Fair, Mandy was just exceptional. She was informative and helpful in explaining my options. Upon researching all the options further, I felt that contacting Mandy to administer the Woodcock Johnson test was my best option. Mandy fully explained my options and she was easy to communicate with. Mandy explained the testing results completely. Mandy explained every detail of the testing process, she made sure I understood how and what subject areas my child would be testing on. She took her time with me, allowed me to ask questions. I felt totally comfortable and confident that I wanted her to test my daughter. I love how the testing environment was very relaxed and calming. A quick restroom break was given and my daughter came out to use the restroom and gave me a hug. Mandy communicated with my daughter effectively during the duration of this process which helped her in understanding everything that is to be expected. SMART was reasonable, and quick to reply to all of my questions. Mandy Koontz was absolutely wonderful, very helpful with everything!
