Millie is a Western North Carolina native raised in Saluda, NC. She currently lives in Mill Spring, NC with her husband, Bill, and homeschools her three youngest of five beautiful children. They work together serving the Lord as He provides opportunity in their community, in their travels with various activities, sports, and teams, and through The Salvation Army.
Millie received her Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education from North Greenville University. After graduation, she worked in Greenville County public schools teaching various grades at the elementary level and served children with Individualized Education Plans, Personalized Education Plans, and Academic and Intellectually Gifted.
Millie was called to homeschool in 2002 and continues to be passionate in that call now as she continues to teach her three youngest children. She has successfully graduated her oldest two which both received academic scholarships to their chosen universities. Millie currently serves and teaches at her church. She has been a part of and taught at local homeschool co-ops for years. She tutors privately as well.
In her free time, Millie enjoys being a Mimi to her first grandchild, playing basketball, hiking, and swimming. She loves traveling and watching her husband Bill compete as a professional archer and cheering on her children as they compete in their passions. They also love to camp and spend time together.
Every student has a special and unique path to travel. School can and should be structured to encourage, challenge, and strengthen your student. Millie looks forward to serving and assisting your family to set a plan and develop strategies to help along the way as you help your student accomplish the academic goals you set.
